La experiencia barranquismo conocido como Matacanes y Chiptin  tienen lugar en un pequeño pueblo llamado Potrero Redondo, en la sierra de Santiago, muy cerca de la ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo Leon MEXICO.
 El tiempo que tomará esta increíble experiencia es de alrededor de 5 a 10 horas cada cañón, con mucha diversión, rapeles, toboganes naturales de roca y salto de acantilados, cuevas y muchos obstáculos más. Tenemos todo lo que necesita para completar este tour Incluye campamento base,

Season

Begin March 21st and it approximately ends on September 15th, depending on the rains and hurricanes. It can be suspended at any time according to river level. The river safety level is monitored daily by inhabitants of Potrero Redondo, Las Adjuntas and the State authorities.

Difficulty

Intermediate: this route is apt for people with little experience in hiking, the route involves walking in paths, between stones and can have down climbing. Although this can be your first adventure trip is necessary that you have the ability to move mountain terrain. All our routes includes rappel course. GOOD phisycal condition is required and no one with overweight will be admitted.

Gear available

1. 4x4 transportation in a safari style truck, open air vehicle full of fun and joy since the begining.
2. Cabins and camping area at baseline, Changing rooms, bathrooms, electricity, water, fresh hot coffee, restaurant and shop.
3. Professional canyoning gear for each participant: Harness, helmet, PFD and wet-suit
  4. Professional ICAN certified guides with up top date courses of first aid and canyoning.
5. Pictures of the trip after fillin the poll. **if available
  6. Medical first aid kit for the trip in the mountain, recommended by the Mexican Red Cross.
 

Checklist

Just bring dry clothes for the end of the trip, chocolates like as MilkyWay or Snickers. The vests have pouches for bars

The best running tennis You have, never bring Converse style shoes

Do not bring water or chemical blockers that are not environmentally friendly, do not bring valuables that you may lose in the river

    • Clothes

  • Dry-fit or cotton shirt
  • Long licra bottom
  • Jeans or heavy duty fabric short (long pants will be very heavy when wet)
  • Socks (two pairs can be used to tighten the shoe)
  • New tennis (no open shoes, this is to protect your feet inside the water)
  • Dry change of clothes for the end of the trip
  • On trips with transportation, you'll need a sweater, windbreaker and a cap.

    • Groups

    Groups can be made 6 people minimum en closed dates, one person minimum in open groups. You can make Aldea Matacanes exclusive for you with a minimum of 35 persons, but is necesary to reseve and pay 2 months before the event.

    Includes all meals of the holiday, except for dinner the night you arrive
